Many first-year university students face disconnection, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm. Inspired by The Book of Human Emotions, this project visualises 16 lesser-known emotional states through 64 layered illustrations in a 32-page zine. Each page pairs visual metaphor with real student anecdotes, grounding abstract feelings in lived experience. Risograph printing and varied paper weights create soft textures and subtle bleed-throughs, symbolising how emotions overlap and linger. The project offers a quiet space for reflection, self-recognition, and belonging.
